NC State vs. Notre Dame Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the NC State vs. Notre Dame football game
The NC State Wolfpack will be playing at home against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Carter-Finley Stadium. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
NC State had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 24-14 win over UConn.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you score eight more touchdowns than the other team, a fact Notre Dame proved on Saturday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 56-3 win over Tennessee State. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Notre Dame had established a 46 point advantage.
QB Sam Hartman looked spectacular while leading his team to the win, throwing for 194 yards and two touchdowns on 17 attempts. Hartman wound up with a passer rating of 217. It was a true group effort though, and the team also got help from RB Audric Estime, who rushed for 116 yards and punched in a rushing TD.
NC State will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with a mediocre 4-9 record against the spread, so bettors beware.
That disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for NC State considering the team was a sub-par 2-3 as the underdog last season. A bettor who placed a $100 dollar bet on them to lose every one of the 13 games they played last year would have netted $869.92. On the other hand, Notre Dame will play as the favorite, and the team was 6-2 as such last season.
