The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors strolled past the New Mexico State Aggies with points to spare on Saturday, taking the matchup 41-21.
The contest started off well for the Rainbow Warriors, whose offense put up 17 first-half points. New Mexico State wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 17-13 heading into the break. The offense for Hawaii continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 24 points to put the game away.
Hawaii's victory brought them up to 2-3. The loss dropped New Mexico State's record to 1-4.
Hawaii will be playing at home against the Fresno State Bulldogs at 11 p.m. ET next Saturday. Like the Rainbow Warriors, Fresno State is also coming into the game bolstered by a recent win. As for the Aggies, they will go up against the San Jose State Spartans at 10:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at CEFCU Stadium. New Mexico State is 1-2 after losses this year, SJSU 1-0.
