NMEX vs. AF updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the New Mexico vs. Air Force football game
Through 3 Quarters
The Air Force Falcons were the heavy favorites here for a reason. After three quarters it's looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the New Mexico Lobos as Air Force lead 31-7.
The Falcons have been riding high on the performance of RB Brad Roberts, who has rushed for one TD and 141 yards on 28 carries. New Mexico has enjoyed the tag-team combination of QB Trae Hall and QB Terry Wilson. The former has snatched one receiving TD, while the latter has passed for one TD and 89 yards on 12 attempts.

What to Know
The New Mexico Lobos haven't won a game against the Air Force Falcons since Sept. 30 of 2017, but they'll be looking to end the drought Saturday. New Mexico and Air Force will face off in a Mountain West battle at 6:30 p.m. ET at Dreamstyle Stadium. The Falcons should still be riding high after a big win, while the Lobos will be looking to regain their footing.
New Mexico came within a touchdown against the UTEP Miners last week, but they wound up with a 20-13 loss.
Meanwhile, Air Force turned the game against the Florida Atlantic Owls into a track meet and took the gold after outgaining them 516 yards to 219. Air Force took their contest against Florida Atlantic last week by a conclusive 31-7 score. The team ran away with 24 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the victory. The Falcons' QB Haaziq Daniels was on fire, accumulating 70 passing yards in addition to rushing for two TDs and 164 yards. One of the most memorable plays of the matchup was Daniels' 94-yard touchdown rush in the first quarter.
The Lobos have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 11.50 point spread they are up against. Now might not be the best time to take New Mexico against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.
New Mexico is now 2-2 while Air Force sits at 3-1. Two offensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: New Mexico is 185th worst in the nation in yards per game, with only 319.3 on average. The Falcons have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 241st fewest passing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 87.8 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
