North Carolina vs. Miami (FL) updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the North Carolina vs. Miami (FL) football game
The North Carolina Tar Heels and the Miami (FL) Hurricanes will face off in an ACC battle at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Kenan Memorial Stadium. North Carolina is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Last Saturday, North Carolina humbled Syracuse with a 40-7 smackdown. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-0.
Drake Maye was on fire, as he threw for 442 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Maye's performance was especially impressive as it was the first time he's posted a passer rating above 170 this season. Kobe Paysour also helped out as he racked up 100 receiving yards.
Special teams played a big role in the game for North Carolina, adding 16 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Noah Burnette: he added 12 points with four field goals, and another four kicking extra points.
Meanwhile, Miami (FL) might have drawn first blood against Georgia Tech on Saturday, but it was Georgia Tech who got the last laugh. Miami (FL) fell just short of Georgia Tech by a score of 23-20. The loss was Miami (FL)'s first of the season.
North Carolina's win was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their overall record up to 5-0. That strong performance came about in large part from their offensive dominance: across that stretch, they averaged 36.6 points per game. With their first loss of the season, Miami (FL) fell to 4-1.
Looking ahead, North Carolina is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by four points. They might be worth a quick bet since they've covered the spread the last three times they've played Miami (FL).
North Carolina came out on top in a nail-biter against Miami (FL) when the teams last played back in October of 2022, sneaking past 27-24. Will North Carolina repeat their success, or does Miami (FL) have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
