North Texas vs. UAB: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the North Texas vs. UAB football game
Game Recap
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for the UAB Blazers on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 40-6 margin over the North Texas Mean Green. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from the Blazers' flat performance the matchup before.
The game started off well for UAB, whose offense put up 30 first-half points. Meanwhile, North Texas couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 30 to nothing heading into the break. The UAB defense was impenetrable in the third quarter, shutting them out and essentially clinching the contest. The contest pushed North Texas down to 1-2 and pulled UAB up to the reverse at 2-1.
UAB is on the road again next Saturday and plays against the Tulane Green Wave at 8 p.m. ET Sept. 25 at Benson Field at Yulman Stadium. Unlike the Blazers, Tulane will be stumbling in off of a loss. As for the Mean Green, they will go up against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at 7 p.m. ET next Saturday at Joe Aillet Stadium. North Texas is 0-1 after losses this year, Louisiana Tech 1-0.
