Northern Illinois vs. Wyoming: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Northern Illinois vs. Wyoming football game
The Wyoming Cowboys will take on the Northern Illinois Huskies at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium. These two teams are tiptoeing into their contest after sneaking past their previous opponents.
The Cowboys came out on top in a nail-biter against the Montana State Bobcats last week, sneaking past 19-16. The overall outcome was to be expected, but Montana State made it more of a matchup than the oddsmakers had predicted. No one had a standout game offensively for Wyoming, but they got scores from RB Xazavian Valladay and TE Treyton Welch. Wyoming's win came on a 21-yard TD pass from QB Sean Chambers to Welch with only 0:51 remaining in the fourth quarter.
NIU can thank their lucky stars for their victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets last week. The final score was a hard-fought 22-21. RB Harrison Waylee was the offensive standout of the game for NIU, rushing for one TD and 144 yards on 27 carries.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. Watch the game and check back on CBS Sports to find out who keeps up the positive energy and who hits a stumbling block.
