Northwestern vs. Ohio: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Northwestern vs. Ohio football game
The Northwestern Wildcats will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against the Ohio Bobcats at noon ET. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
The Wildcats came up short against the Duke Blue Devils last week, falling 30-23. QB Andrew Marty put forth a good effort for the losing side as he passed for two TDs and 151 yards on 16 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 52 yards.
Meanwhile, a win for Ohio just wasn't in the stars last Thursday as the team never even grasped a temporary lead. They played a matchup they are hoping to forget as they lost a 49-14 blowout to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. The losing side was boosted by RB O'Shaan Allison, who snatched one receiving TD.
Northwestern is the favorite in this one, with an expected 14.5-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are 0-2 against the spread when favored.
Northwestern is now 1-2 while Ohio sits at 0-3. A pair of defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Northwestern is 198th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with six on the season. The Bobcats have experienced some rushing struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 236th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up nine on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
