Notre Dame vs. Central Michigan: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Notre Dame vs. Central Michigan football game
Notre Dame will be playing the full four quarters on Saturday, but they're expected to have things wrapped up well before that. They will be playing at home against the Central Michigan Chippewas at 2:30 p.m. ET at Notre Dame Stadium. Notre Dame is out to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Notre Dame extended their game-winning streak to four on Saturday. They blew past NC State 45-24.
Notre Dame got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was RB Audric Estime out in front who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Those 134 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Estime. WR Jaden Greathouse did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 15 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing seven points in their last match, Central Michigan made sure to put some points up on the board against New New Hampshire on Saturday. Central Michigan came out on top in a nail-biter against New Hampshire and snuck past 45-42.
QB Bert Emanuel Jr. looked spectacular while leading his team to the win, throwing for 193 yards and two touchdowns on 19 attempts, in addition to 101 yards on the ground and two rushing scores. RB Myles Bailey also helped out as he racked up 108 rushing yards.
Looking ahead, Notre Dame shouldn't be too worried about this matchup, as the experts have them favored by 34.5 points. This contest will be their third straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 3-0 against the spread).
Their wins bumped the Fighting Irish to 3-0 and the Chippewas to 1-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when these two teams clash.
