Ohio State vs. Toledo Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Ohio State vs. Toledo football game
Considering their sizeable disadvantage in the spread, the Toledo Rockets can expect to have a real challenge on their hands on Saturday. They will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes at 7 p.m. ET at Ohio Stadium. After these two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
A well-balanced attack led Toledo over the Massachusetts Minutemen every single quarter on their way to victory last week. The Rockets really took it to UMass for a full four quarters, racking up a 55-10 victory at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.
Meanwhile, OSU ran circles around the Arkansas State Red Wolves last week, and the extra yardage (538 yards vs. 276 yards) paid off. OSU put the hurt on Arkansas State with a sharp 45-12 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Buckeyes had established a 45-12 advantage. Their success was spearheaded by the efforts of WR Marvin Harrison Jr., who caught seven passes for three TDs and 184 yards, and QB C.J. Stroud, who passed for four TDs and 351 yards on 24 attempts. Stroud's 51-yard touchdown toss to WR Emeka Egbuka in the third quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the day.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. With both the Rockets and OSU swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
