Game Recap
The Baylor Bears weren't able to make up for their loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys from their previous meeting last December. Baylor fell to Oklahoma State 24-14. That's the fewest points the Bears have scored all year.
The Cowboys can attribute much of their success to RB Jaylen Warren, who rushed for two TDs and 125 yards on 36 carries. Oklahoma State also got help from WR Tay Martin, who showed off his sure hands for 110 receiving yards in the win.
The losing side was boosted by LB Abram Smith, who punched in one rushing touchdown. That touchdown -- a 55-yard rush in the third quarter -- was one of the highlights of the contest.
With their first defeat of the season, Baylor fell to 4-1. The victory bumped Oklahoma State's record up to 5-0.
The Bears will take on the West Virginia Mountaineers at noon ET next Saturday at home. Those two teams have allowed few points on average (Baylor 17.4, West Virginia 18), so any points scored will be well earned. Oklahoma State will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off; they will square off against the Texas Longhorns at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium/Jamail Field at 1 p.m. ET in two weeks.
