Oklahoma vs. Baylor updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oklahoma vs. Baylor football game
The Oklahoma Sooners and the Baylor Bears are set to square off in a Big 12 matchup at 3 p.m. ET Nov. 5 at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.
The Sooners were able to grind out a solid win over the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday, winning 27-13. WR Jalil Farooq and RB Eric Gray were among the main playmakers for Oklahoma as the former snatched one receiving TD and the latter rushed for one TD and 101 yards on 20 carries.
Meanwhile, the Texas Tech Red Raiders typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday Baylor proved too difficult a challenge. Everything went the Bears' way against the Red Raiders as they made off with a 45-17 victory. RB Richard Reese continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, rushing for three TDs and 148 yards on 36 carries.
Baylor's defense was a force to be reckoned with, as it embarrassed Texas Tech's offensive line to sack the QB six times for a total loss of 51 yards. Leading the way was DL Gabe Hall and his three sacks. Hall now has 3.5 sacks this season.
Oklahoma is the favorite in this one, with an expected 3.5-point margin of victory. Those who got lucky with them against the spread on Saturday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
The wins brought both teams up to an identical 5-3. A couple offensive stats to keep an eye on: The Sooners enter the game with 217.5 rushing yards per game on average, good for 16th best in the nation. The Bears have displayed some offensive firepower of their own as they come into the matchup boasting the third most rushing touchdowns in the nation at 26.
