Oklahoma vs. Kansas State: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oklahoma vs. Kansas State football game
The Kansas State Wildcats have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. K-State and the Oklahoma Sooners will face off in a Big 12 battle at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, the Wildcats nows face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
K-State came up short against the Tulane Green Wave last week, falling 17-10. If the result catches you off guard, it should: K-State was far and away the favorite. Kansas State's loss came about despite a quality game from QB Adrian Martinez, who passed for one TD and 150 yards on 31 attempts in addition to picking up 59 yards on the ground.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma ran circles around the Nebraska Cornhuskers last week, and the extra yardage (580 yards vs. 327 yards) paid off. Oklahoma was completely in charge, breezing past Nebraska 49-14 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7. Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 230 yards on 27 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 55 yards. Gabriel put himself on the highlight reel with a 61-yard TD scramble in the first quarter.
The Wildcats are now 2-1 while the Sooners sit at 3-0. A couple numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: K-State hasn't thrown an interception yet this season. Oklahoma is completely their equal: they also come into the game with zero thrown interceptions. So expect both teams to feel comfortable airing the ball out.
