Oklahoma vs. TCU: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oklahoma vs. TCU football game
3rd Quarter Report
Fans are certainly getting their money's worth as Oklahoma and TCU have already combined for 90 points. Oklahoma has a bit of a cushion as they currently lead TCU 52-38. Oklahoma's offense has been firing on all cylinders thus far, outscoring their total from last Saturday with time still left to play.
Oklahoma came into the game with some extra motivation after the defeat they were dealt the last time these two teams faced off. We'll see if they're able to flip the script or if it'll just be more of the same.
Preview
Oklahoma is 8-1 against TCU since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Oklahoma Sooners will be playing at home against the TCU Horned Frogs at 12:00 p.m. ET at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Oklahoma will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Saturday, Oklahoma earned a 31-24 victory over BYU.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oklahoma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dillon Gabriel, who threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Gavin Sawchuk, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
TCU can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. Everything went their way against Baylor as TCU made off with a 42-17 win. TCU might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Jared Wiley and Josh Hoover were among the main playmakers for TCU as the former picked up 178 receiving yards and two touchdowns and the latter threw for 412 yards and two touchdowns while completing 82.8% of his passes. Wiley's longest reception was for an incredible 81 yards. Emani Bailey also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Oklahoma to 9-2 and TCU to 5-6.
As for their next game, Oklahoma is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 11.5 points. For those looking to play the spread, take note: they are a solid 4-1 against the spread when playing at home.
Oklahoma was pulverized by TCU 55-24 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Oklahoma, Max Duggan (who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check CBSSports.com after the match to find out.
