Ole Miss vs. UL Monroe: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Ole Miss vs. Louisiana-Monroe football game
Ole Miss will be playing the full four quarters on Saturday, but they're expected to have things wrapped up well before that. They will look to defend their home field against the UL Monroe Warhawks at 12:00 p.m. ET at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field. The timing is sure in Ole Miss' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while UL Monroe has not had much luck on the away from home, with five straight road losses dating back to last season.
Two of the premier teams in all of college football squared off on Saturday, but Ole Miss was not quite premier enough. They were dealt a punishing 52-17 loss at the hands of Georgia.
Quinshon Judkins put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Judkins is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
UL Monroe was no doubt aware that the odds were against they in their match with Troy but that awareness did nothing to prevent the predicted outcome. There's no need to mince words: UL Monroe lost to Troy on Saturday, and UL Monroe lost bad. The score wound up at 45-14.
Ole Miss' defeat dropped their record down to 8-2, while UL Monroe's bumped their own down to the opposite: 2-8.
In addition to losing their last games, the two teams failed to cover the spread. As mentioned, Ole Miss is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 37.5 points. This contest might not be the best time to bet UL Monroe against the spread since they've let bettors down the last three times they've played.
