Oregon State vs. Florida: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oregon State vs. Florida football game
The Florida Gators and the Oregon State Beavers have had some time off and are no doubt ready to hit the field. Bowl season is underway, and Florida and Oregon State will compete for postseason bragging rights in the Las Vegas Bowl at Allegiant Stadium at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Beavers should still be riding high after a win, while the Gators will be looking to get back in the win column.
Florida came up short against the Florida State Seminoles three weeks ago, falling 45-38. Florida's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of WR Ricky Pearsall, who caught five passes for two TDs and 148 yards, and RB Trevor Etienne, who rushed for one TD and 129 yards on 17 carries. One of the most thrilling moments was Pearsall's 52-yard TD reception in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, Oregon State didn't have too much breathing room in their game with the Oregon Ducks three weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 38-34 victory. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the third quarter to overcome a 31-17 deficit. No one had a standout game offensively for the Beavers, but they got scores from QB Ben Gulbranson, RB Isaiah Newell, and RB Deshaun Fenwick.
The Gators have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the ten-point spread they are up against. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 3-0 against the spread when expected to lose.
Two offensive stats to keep an eye on: Florida comes into the matchup boasting the 16th most rushing yards per game in the nation at 213.7. The Beavers have displayed some offensive firepower of their own as they enter the contest with 33 rushing touchdowns, good for 10th best in the nation.
