No. 7 Oregon had to get off the mat several times but had just enough firepower to outlast Boise State in a 37-34 win on Saturday. Tied at 34-34, the Ducks bled most of the game's final 3:14 with a 11-play, 61-yard drive drive that ended with an Atticus Sappington 27-yard yard field goal to win it.
Oregon relied on big plays all night, including a kickoff and punt return for touchdown, plus three different scoring drives of five plays or fewer, to survive the Broncos' upset bid. Boise State got huge day from stellar running back Ashton Jeanty, who finished with 192 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries.
Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel finished 18 of 21 for 243 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Ducks running back Jordan James shook off some early struggles to finish with 102 yards on 17 carries for the Ducks.
