Oregon vs. California: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oregon vs. California football game
Game Recap
The Oregon Ducks stumbled on the road two weeks ago against the Stanford Cardinal, but they seem to have regained their footing back home. Oregon was able to grind out a solid win over the California Golden Bears on Friday, winning 24-17. California can consider this payback for the 21-17 loss they dealt the Ducks the last time the teams encountered one another last December.
RB Travis Dye continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, rushing for one TD and 139 yards on 19 carries. This was the first time Dye has racked up 100+ rushing yards all year. QB Anthony Brown had a good game, too, finishing with two touchdowns.
QB Chase Garbers hadn't helped the Golden Bears' cause all that much against the Washington State Cougars two weeks ago, but the same can't be said for this matchup. Garbers put forth a good effort for the losing side as he passed for two TDs and 249 yards on 43 attempts in addition to picking up 30 yards on the ground.
The contest pushed California down to 1-5 and pulled Oregon up to the reverse at 5-1.
Oregon will take on the UCLA Bruins at 3:30 p.m. ET next week at Rose Bowl. California will take on the Colorado Buffaloes at 3:30 p.m. ET next week at home.
