We continue to look to Sean Mannion for parts, but this week, he offers his arm and not his head.
Here's a look at what (or who?) we would build from Week 5:
Brain: UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley -- As the great Kenny Rogers said, "You gotta know when to hold it, know when to throw it, know when to walk away and know when to run." Or something like that. Either way, Hundley is striking all the right chords for the UCLA faithful, who have longed for an electric offense. Hundley's brain has been firing on all cylinders -- 281 passing yards and two touchdowns, plus two rushing touchdowns, in the Bruins' win at Colorado.
Heart: Washington quarterback Keith Price -- In a tight game with less than 10 points scored between the two teams, Price handed Stanford what appeared to be the game, gifting an interception to Trent Murphy that Murphy returned for a 40-yard touchdown. But Price refused to die, Washington scored on its next possession to cut the gap to 13-10, then Price found Kasen Williams for a 35-yard touchdown pass for the win.
Arm: Oregon State quarterback Sean Mannion -- Call us doubters, but there was a reason Mannion won the brain award last week, and not the arm. We were not convinced about Mannion's skill level and arm strength, as it appeared he simply made all the right calls in a win over UCLA, rather than all the perfect throws. But this week Mannion lit into the Arizona defense for a career-high 433 yards and two touchdowns, and his most important throws, in the game-winning drive, were crisp and strong. Consider us convinced. Spare Parts: Arizona State quarterback Taylor Kelly -- Kelly had 292 passing yards and three touchdowns in a 27-17 win over Cal.
Hands: Washington State wide receiver Marquess Wilson -- The Cougars' lone verifiable offensive star struggled out of the gates this year, catching eight passes for 108 yards in the team's first two games. Since then, he's taken off. Wilson's 12 catches for 182 yards and a touchdown helped keep Washington State close against Oregon and he now has 391 yards and five scores during the last three weeks.
Legs: Oregon running back Kenjon Barner -- At this point, there needs to be a congressional act to change it from Barner to Burner. It just has to be on the national record. Barner -- for now -- sprinted away from Washington State as the Ducks distanced themselves from a pesky Cougar squad in Seattle. Barner had 195 yards on 20 carries with three touchdowns, including an 80-yard touchdown run, and he now ranks 10th nationally at 121 yards per game. Spare Parts: UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin -- Franklin bounced back from his worst game of the year to total 159 yards from scrimmage against the Buffaloes. ... Washington running back Bishop Sankey -- The sophomore punished Stanford with 144 yards on 20 carries including a 61-yard touchdown.
Feet: UCLA linebacker Damien Holmes -- Linebackers are not supposed to pirouette like ballerinas, but check out Holmes on this play: He spins like Baryshnikov but hits like a bulldozer and almost knocks Colorado quarterback Jordan Webb out of his pink cleats. Homles had three sacks on the afternoon as he moved outside with the loss of Jordan Zumwalt.
