Pelini likes what he sees from QB Martinez

Coach Bo Pelini used Saturday’s scrimmage to give QB Taylor Martinez a breather and backup QB Brion Carnes extended reps with the first team. “Brion is recognizing coverages a lot better (than last year),” Pelini said. “I’m liking some of the things I’m seeing from him." Martinez was also “very, very sharp” on his two series Pelini said.
