Watchability: Only Tigers fans will enjoy seeing this one. LSU will steamroll the Vandals and likely not hurt its average of 279 rushing yards per game.
Shining Stars: LSU: Alfred Blue. The 6-2, 215-pound junior is averaging 7.5 yards a carry and leads LSU with 224 rushing yards. He’s getting the most carries in a crowded backfield featuring Kenny Hilliard (4 TDs), Michael Ford and Spencer Ware. Idaho: Dominique Blackman. The 6-5 junior transfer debuted last week by hitting 30 of 37 throws for 352 yards and a TD in a 21-13 loss at Bowling Green. But he took four sacks and threw a costly third-quarter INT. Blackman had been suspended for the season opener.
Who could steal the show: LSU: Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery. Arguably the nation’s top DE duo, Mingo and Montgomery have combined for just 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack this season. They’re due to break out against Idaho’s pass-happy attack. Idaho: Jahrie Level. The 6-foot wideout out of Miami caught 10 balls for 119 yards in last week’s loss, but is looking to atone for a fourth-quarter fumble that ended the Vandals’ chances.

Magic number for LSU: 3.47. That’s how many yards per play this defense give up. LB Kevin Minter has a team-high 15 tackles and three pass breakups.
Magic number for Idaho: 0.3. Idaho averaged 0.3 yards per carry in its loss to Bowling Green, gaining six yards on 20 attempts.
The game comes down to: This is LSU’s last tuneup before it plays real competition (we think) next week at Auburn. It’s another chance for coach Les Miles to play the entire roster.
Prediction: LSU 52, Idaho 3
