Purdue vs. Indiana updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Purdue vs. Indiana football game
Game Recap
When you finish with 242 more yards than your opponent like the Purdue Boilermakers did on Saturday, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They claimed a resounding 44-7 win over the Indiana Hoosiers at home. For Purdue, this is just revenge for the 44-41 defeat they suffered against IU the last time they faced one another on Nov. 30 of 2019.
The game started off well for the Boilermakers, whose offense put up 17 first-half points. The Hoosiers weren't quite able to keep up, and the score was 17-7 heading into the break. Purdue put the matchup away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
It was another big night for Purdue's QB Aidan O'Connell, who passed for four TDs and 280 yards on 32 attempts.
IU's only offensive touchdown came on a rush from QB Donaven McCulley.
The victory improved the Boilermakers' record to 8-4. The Hoosiers have fallen quite a ways from their 6-2 record from last season and are now 2-10. With that, the West Division playoffs come to an end.
