Purdue vs. Wisconsin Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Purdue vs. Wisconsin football game
The Wisconsin Badgers and the Purdue Boilermakers will face off in a Big Ten clash at 3 p.m. ET Oct. 23 at Ross-Ade Stadium. These two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
Wisconsin didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup with the Army West Point Black Knights last week, but they still walked away with a 20-14 victory. The Badgers can attribute much of their success to RB Braelon Allen, who rushed for one TD and 107 yards on 16 carries.
Meanwhile, Purdue had enough points to win and then some against the Iowa Hawkeyes last week, taking their contest 24-7. The Boilermakers can attribute much of their success to WR David Bell, who caught 11 passes for one TD and 240 yards, and QB Aidan O'Connell, who passed for two TDs and 375 yards on 40 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown.
Purdue's defense was a presence as well, as it got past Iowa's offensive line to sack QB Spencer Petras four times for a total loss of 28 yards. Leading the way was DT Branson Deen and his two sacks. Those were the first sacks for Deen this season.
This next game is expected to be close, with Wisconsin going off at just a 3-point favorite. But bettors beware: they are only 1-4 against the spread when favored.
The Badgers are now 3-3 while the Boilermakers sit at 4-2. Two numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Wisconsin is 232nd worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown nine on the season. Purdues have had an even harder time: they are stumbling into the contest with the 194th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown six on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
