Rice vs. Houston Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Rice vs. Houston football game
The Rice Owls will be playing at home against the Houston Cougars at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Rice Stadium.
It's hard to win when you post 282 fewer total yards than your opponent, a fact Rice found out the hard way on Saturday. They took a hard 37-10 fall against Texas. Rice was down 37-3 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, the Owls had trouble moving the ball and finished the game with only 176 total yards. They were destroyed by their opponents in that department as Texas gained 458.
Meanwhile, Houston took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (barely). They pulled ahead with a 17-14 photo finish.
Rice will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with a 7-6 record against the spread.
Rice couldn't quite finish off Houston in their previous matchup last September and fell 34-27. Will Rice have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the game or check back on CBS Sports to find out.
