Although the passing game flexed its muscles in the Tide's first spring scrimmage, the running game left a lot to be desired. Sophomore RB Dee Hart led all RBs with 32 yards and a TD on 13 carries. Junior Jalston Fowler had 10 carries for 27 yards and a TD. "We tried to run it, and we didn't run it real well," coach Nick Saban said. "I don't know if that means the defense is stopping the run pretty good or we can't run."
