After a moving target date for a commitment kept a lot of folks guessing, DeSoto (Texas) running back Dontre Wilson finally made up his mind and committed to Oregon at his spring game on Friday night, according to multiple reports.
The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder picked the program over Texas and Ohio State, among several other offers.
"He's a very speed, shifty back with exceptionally quick feet and great vision," MaxPreps analyst Tom Lemming said of Wilson. "Needs to add some weight and strength, but the talent, speed and instincts are certainly there."
The Ducks have had plenty of success recruiting backs from the Lone Star State in recent years, with LaMichael James being the most notable. Wilson's commitment gives Oregon three recruits total for the class of 2013, including the No. 10 overall player and speedy running back Thomas Tyner.
