San Diego State vs. Nevada updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the San Diego State vs. Nevada football game
Game Recap
The San Diego State Aztecs fell to the Nevada Wolf Pack 26-21 when the two teams previously met in November of last year; this time around, they exacted some revenge. San Diego State came out on top in a nail-biter against Nevada on Saturday, sneaking past 23-21. Having forecasted a close win for the Aztecs, the oddsmakers were right on the money.
No one had a standout game offensively for San Diego State, but they got scores from TE Daniel Bellinger and RB Chance Bell. RB Greg Bell and his 106 yards on the ground were another key factor in San Diego State's victory.
Special teams collected 11 points for San Diego State. K Matt Araiza booted in three field goals, the longest a 48-yarder in the second quarter, which ultimately accounted for the difference in the game.
A silver lining for the Wolf Pack was the play of WR Romeo Doubs, who caught nine passes for two TDs and 127 yards. Near the top of the highlight reel was Carson Strong's 54-yard TD bomb to Doubs in the fourth quarter.
The victory improved the Aztecs' record to 9-1. The defeat dropped Nevada's record to 7-3.
San Diego State will take on the UNLV Rebels at 11:30 p.m. ET next Friday at Allegiant Stadium. UNLV is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 27-13 win over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on Saturday. Nevada will take on the Air Force Falcons at 9 p.m. ET next Friday at home. Air Force's offense will need to be on point to get points against the Wolf Pack's defense, which is averaging only 17.6 points allowed per game.
