San Diego State vs. Towson Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the San Diego State vs. Towson football game
The San Diego State Aztecs will stay at home another week and welcome the Towson Tigers at 3:30 p.m. ET Sept. 25 at Dignity Health Sports Park. The Aztecs will be strutting in after a win while Towson will be stumbling in from a defeat.
It may have taken triple overtime to finish the job, but San Diego State ultimately got the result they were hoping for last week with a 33-31 victory over the Utah Utes. The score was all tied up at the break 10-10, but San Diego State was the better team in the second half. QB Lucas Johnson and RB Greg Bell were among the main playmakers for San Diego State as the former passed for one TD and 44 yards on 19 attempts in addition to picking up 87 yards on the ground and the latter rushed for two TDs and 119 yards on 33 carries. Johnson's longest run was for 54 yards in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, Towson was expected to have a tough go of it last week, and that's exactly how things played out. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 35-7 walloping at the North Dakota State Bison's hands. The Tigers were in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 21 to nothing.
Towson's loss took them down to 1-2 while San Diego State's victory pulled them up to 3-0. We'll see if Towson can steal the Aztecs' luck or if San Diego State records another victory instead.
