San Jose State vs. San Diego State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the San Jose State vs. San Diego State football game
Game Recap
It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but the San Diego State Aztecs ultimately got the result they were hoping for on Friday with a 19-13 win over the San Jose State Spartans. Despite the victory, that's the fewest points the Aztecs have scored all season.
San Diego State's WR Jesse Matthews filled up the stat sheet, snatching two receiving TDs. On the other hand, one thorn in San Diego State's side was the less-than-spectacular play of QB Jordon Brookshire, who fumbled the ball once with only 132 yards passing.
SJSU's only offensive touchdown came from RB Tyler Nevens.
The victory improved San Diego State's record to 6-0. SJSU has fallen quite a ways from their 7-1 record from last season and are now 3-4.
The Aztecs are on the road again next week and play against the Air Force Falcons at 7 p.m. ET Oct. 23 at Falcon Stadium. These teams both have allowed few points on average (San Diego State 16, Air Force 13.86), so any points scored will be well earned. As for SJSU, they will face off against the UNLV Rebels at 11 p.m. ET next Thursday at Allegiant Stadium.
