South Florida (3-6, 1-4 Big East) at Miami (5-5, 4-3 Big East)

Spread: Miami by 7

Watchability: The surprisingly hapless Bulls will be without their long-time starting quarterback B.J. Daniels -- who was lost for the season after breaking his ankle against Connecticut in USF's most recent game -- so this one could get ugly. For Bulls fans, it may be interesting to see how redshirt freshman Matt Floyd handles his first career start.

Shining stars: South Florida -- DE DeDe Lattimore. If the Bulls are going to have much of a shot in this one, they'll have to do it on defense with Daniels and RB Lindsey Lamar out with injuries. Lattimore leads USF in both tackles for loss and sacks, and he's second on the team in tackles overall. Perhaps he can shake a fumble loose, because USF's secondary probably won't get an interception. The Bulls got their first two of the season in their last game. Miami -- QB Stephen Morris. The junior has been solid -- 15 touchdowns, seven interceptions -- and he's coming off a three score game in the Hurricanes' narrow loss at Virginia last week. The Bulls' secondary isn't exactly opportunistic, so Morris should be able to take some chances. However, the Miami receiving corps is somewhat depleted, so finding viable targets may be an issue. 

Who could steal the show: South Florida -- WR Andre Davis. The sophomore has been relatively quiet after his enormous early season game against Nevada -- 191 yards, two touchdowns -- but he is still the Bulls' best receiving option. With Floyd, not Daniels, at the controls, the freshman may look to Davis often as he is the most reliable playmaker. Miami -- RB Duke Johnson. The freshman can do it all. Not only is Johnson the fourth-leading rusher in the ACC, he's also the league's top kick returner. If nothing else, Johnson will have plenty of opportunities to make a play.

You going? Ranking the road trip: Judging by most of the photos that pop up on Twitter, no, you are not going. It is senior day, so even those with a flimsy allegiance to the Canes may be compelled to show up.

Magic number for South Florida: 22. That's the total amount of yards Floyd has thrown for this season. It's Floyd's first year, of course, but he has not had a lot of opportunities to see the field.

Magic number for Miami: 18. Dating back to Sept. 29, Miami has scored on each of its 18 trips to the red zone, including 13 touchdowns.

The game comes down to: USF quarterback play. It's impossible to replace B.J. Daniels, especially mid-season. Still, Floyd (and perhaps Tommy Eveld) will have to produce somehow. Otherwise it will be a rout.

Prediction: Miami 31, South Florida 13
