TCU vs. Baylor updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the TCU vs. Baylor football game
The Baylor Bears have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. Baylor and the TCU Horned Frogs will face off in a Big 12 battle at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The Bears have some work to do to even out the 1-4 series between these two since November of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
The Texas Longhorns typically have all the answers at home, but last week Baylor proved too difficult a challenge. Baylor was able to grind out a solid victory over Texas, winning 31-24. It was another big night for Baylor's LB Abram Smith, who rushed for one TD and 113 yards on 20 carries.
Meanwhile, the contest between TCU and the Kansas State Wildcats last week was not particularly close, with the Horned Frogs falling 31-12. A silver lining for TCU was the play of RB Kendre Miller, who picked up 102 yards on the ground on 14 carries. Miller's longest run was for 61 yards in the second quarter.
Baylor is the favorite in this one, with an expected 6.5-point margin of victory. They are currently three-for-three against the spread in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.
Baylor's win brought them up to 7-1 while TCU's loss pulled them down to 3-5. A pair of defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: The Bears are 174th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with nine on the season. The Horned Frogs have experienced some rushing struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 218th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 13 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
