TCU vs. Kansas updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the TCU vs. Kansas football game
Game Recap
On Saturday, the Kansas Jayhawks were out to avenge their 59-23 loss to the TCU Horned Frogs from their previous meeting last November, but they had no such luck. The Jayhawks fell just short of TCU by a score of 31-28. Kansas hasn't found any success against TCU since Oct. 27 of 2018, this defeat making it three in a row.
TCU can attribute much of their success to RB Kendre Miller, who rushed for one TD and 112 yards on 12 carries, and WR Derius Davis, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to catching six passes for 103 yards. That receiving effort made it the first game that Davis has posted more than 100 yards receiving.
A silver lining for Kansas was the play of QB Jalon Daniels, who passed for two TDs and 255 yards on 30 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 37 yards.
The defeat dropped the Jayhawks' record to 2-9. The Horned Frogs' win brought them up to 5-6.
Kansas will square off against the West Virginia Mountaineers at 7 p.m. ET next Saturday at Kivisto Field at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. As for TCU, they will face off against the Iowa State Cyclones at 4:30 p.m. ET next Friday at Jack Trice Stadium. Iowa State took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse TCU's good fortune.
