Tennessee vs. UTSA updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Tennessee vs. UTSA football game
UTSA have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Tennessee Volunteers at 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Neyland Stadium. Both of these teams will be coming in off a loss in a game they were expected to win.
UTSA's 11-2 record from last season has become a distant memory after another unsuccessful outing. They fell 37-29 to Army on Friday.
QB Eddie Lee Marburger put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns. Marburger wound up with a passer rating of 187.9.
Meanwhile, Tennessee might have drawn first blood against Florida on Saturday, but it was Florida who got the last laugh. Tennessee took a 29-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Florida.
Tennessee's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of QB Joe Milton III, who threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns, and WR Bru McCoy who picked up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown. McCoy also made the highlight reel thanks to a 55-yard receiving touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Looking ahead, the game looks promising for Tennessee, as the team is favored by a full 20.5 points. This contest might not be the best time to bet UTSA against the spread since they've let bettors down the last three times they've played.
