Texas A&M vs. Arkansas updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas football game
Game Recap
On Saturday, the Arkansas Razorbacks were out to avenge their 31-27 defeat to the Texas A&M Aggies from their previous meeting last September, but they had no such luck. The Razorbacks fell to A&M 42-31. Arkansas was down 42-17 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
A&M QB Kellen Mond was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 260 yards on 26 attempts in addition to picking up 32 yards on the ground. TE Jalen Wydermyer also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
A&M's defense was a presence as well, as it got past Arkansas' offensive line to sack QB Feleipe Franks four times. It was a group effort with four picking up one sack apiece.
Arkansas' loss came about despite a quality game from Franks, who passed for three TDs and 239 yards on 31 attempts in addition to picking up 91 yards on the ground.
Arkansas' defeat pushed them down to 2-3. The victory was the third in a row for the Aggies and raised their record to 4-1.
The Razorbacks will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Tennessee Volunteers at 1 p.m. ET. Tennessee staggers in eager to bring about an end to their three-game losing streak. As for A&M, they will face off against the South Carolina Gamecocks at noon ET next Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium. USC took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Texas A&M's good fortune.
