Texas State vs. Louisiana-Monroe Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Texas State vs. Louisiana-Monroe football game
This Saturday, the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 37.5 points per game. Louisiana-Monroe and the Texas State Bobcats will face off in a Sun Belt battle at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday at Jim Wacker Field at Bobcat Stadium. Neither team wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
The Warhawks have to be hurting after a devastating 59-28 defeat at the hands of the Appalachian State Mountaineers last week. Louisiana-Monroe was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 49-7. The losing side was boosted by QB Jiya Wright, who passed for one TD and 158 yards on 17 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 109 yards.
Meanwhile, a win for Texas State just wasn't in the stars last week as the team never even grasped a temporary lead. They were completely outmatched by the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns on the road and fell 45 to nothing. Texas State was down 35 to nothing at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Louisiana-Monroe is expected to lose this next one by 3.5. The smart bettors have been the ones to keep their money on Louisiana-Monroe's opponents whenever they hit the road.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Giving up five turnovers, the Warhawks had had trouble holding onto the ball. We'll see if the Bobcats can exploit that vulnerability.
