Texas Tech vs. FIU: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game

Game Recap

If there were any doubts why the Texas Tech Red Raiders were heavy favorites Saturday, the team quickly laid those doubts to rest. They made easy work of the FIU Panthers on Saturday and carried off a 54-21 victory.

Texas Tech's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 35 points in the first half. The Panthers countered with 14 points. The offense for the Red Raiders continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 19 points to put the game away.

Texas Tech's win ended a three-game game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-0. The defeat dropped FIU's record to 1-2.

Texas Tech will take on the Texas Longhorns at noon ET next Saturday at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium/Jamail Field. Texas is coming in off of a big 58 to nothing win over the Rice Owls. The Panthers are on the road again next Saturday and play against the Central Michigan Chippewas at noon ET Sept. 25 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. CMU is looking for a pick-me-up after a 49-21 blowout loss to the LSU Tigers.
