TUL vs. UCF updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Tulane vs. UCF football game
Game Recap
The UCF Knights won the last time they faced the Tulane Green Wave, and things went their way on Saturday, too. UCF narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Tulane 34-31. This was a must-win game for the Knights as they bounced back from a huge upset against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane two weeks ago.
UCF's success was spearheaded by the efforts of QB Dillon Gabriel, who accumulated 317 passing yards and picked up 58 yards on the ground on 12 carries, and RB Otis Anderson, who picked up 49 yards on the ground on four carries and caught three passes for 72 yards. QB Darriel Mack Jr. was in the mix, too, providing the Knights with two touchdowns.
A silver lining for Tulane was the play of QB Justin McMillan, who picked up 104 yards on the ground on 24 carries and accumulated 181 passing yards. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time McMillan has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.
UCF's victory brought them up to 7-3. The loss dropped Tulane's record to 6-4.
UCF will take on the South Florida Bulls at 8 p.m. ET next week at Spectrum Stadium. As for Tulane, they will face off against the SMU Mustangs at 11:11 a.m. ET at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
