Tulane vs. Cincinnati Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Tulane vs. Cincinnati football game
The Tulane Green Wave need to shore up a defense that is allowing 42.29 points per matchup before their game on Saturday. Tulane and the Cincinnati Bearcats will face off in an American Athletic battle at noon ET at Benson Field at Yulman Stadium. Cincinnati should still be riding high after a victory, while the Green Wave will be looking to regain their footing.
The night started off rough for Tulane last Thursday, and it ended that way, too. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 55-26 punch to the gut against the SMU Mustangs. Tulane was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 31-7. QB Michael Pratt put forth a good effort for the losing side as he passed for three TDs and 234 yards on 22 attempts. Pratt hadn't helped his team much against the Houston Cougars three weeks ago, so this was a nice turnaround for him.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati beat the Navy Midshipmen 27-20 last week. The Bearcats can attribute much of their success to RB Jerome Ford, who punched in one rushing touchdown, and TE Josh Whyle, who snatched two receiving TDs.
The Green Wave are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past five games, so buyers beware.
When the teams previously met three seasons ago, Tulane lost to Cincinnati on the road by a decisive 37-21 margin. Maybe Tulane will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the contest and check back on CBS Sports for all the details.
