Live scores, highlights and updates from the UAB vs. Louisiana football game
Game Recap
After flying high against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers last week, the UAB Blazers came back down to earth. UAB didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 24-20 to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns on Friday.
Louisiana QB Levi Lewis was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 152 yards on 20 attempts in addition to picking up 34 yards on the ground. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget RB Chris Smith, who went all the way with a kickoff return for touchdown in the second quarter?
The losing side was boosted by RB Spencer Brown, who rushed for two TDs and 128 yards on 28 carries.
The Blazers' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-1. The victory bumped Louisiana's record up to 3-0.
UAB will take on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. ET next week at Joe Aillet Stadium. Louisiana is on the road again next week and plays against the Texas State Bobcats at 1 p.m. ET Oct. 31 at Jim Wacker Field at Bobcat Stadium.
