UAB vs. Miami (OH) Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the UAB vs. Miami (OH) football game
The UAB Blazers and the Miami (OH) RedHawks have had some time off and are no doubt ready to hit the field. Bowl season is underway, and UAB and Miami (OH) will compete for postseason bragging rights in the Bahamas Bowl at Thomas Robinson Stadium at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday.
After constant struggles on the road, the Blazers have finally found some success away from home. They came out on top against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs by a score of 37-27 three weeks ago. RB DeWayne McBride went supernova for UAB as he rushed for one TD and 272 yards on 16 carries. McBride's longest run was for 60 yards in the second quarter.
As for Miami (OH), they have more to be thankful for after their contest against the Ball State Cardinals three weeks ago. Miami (OH) slipped by Ball State 18-17. Kudos to the oddsmakers for accurately forecasting both the winner and the close margin. Miami (OH) QB Aveon Smith was slinging it as he passed for one TD and 211 yards on 47 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 71 yards.
This next game looks promising for the Blazers, who are favored by a full 11 points. Now might not be the best time to take UAB against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.
Two numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: UAB ranks 16th in the nation when it comes to thrown interceptions, with only six on the season. But Miami (OH) is even better: they enter the matchup with only five thrown interceptions, good for ninth best in the nation. So expect both teams to feel comfortable airing the ball out.
