UNLV vs. Nevada updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the UNLV vs. Nevada football game
Game Recap
The Nevada Wolf Pack fell to the UNLV Rebels 33-30 when the two teams previously met in November of last year; this time around, they exacted some revenge. The Wolf Pack took down UNLV 37-19 on Saturday. Thirty-seven seems to be a good number for Nevada as the team scooped up a win with the same point total in their contest last week.
Among those leading the charge for Nevada was WR Romeo Doubs, who caught six passes for one TD and 211 yards. One of the most thrilling moments was Doubs' 65-yard TD reception in the second quarter. QB Carson Strong had a good game, too, finishing with two touchdowns.
Special teams collected 13 points for Nevada. K Brandon Talton delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
QB Max Gilliam hadn't helped UNLV's cause all that much against the San Diego State Aztecs last week, but the same can't be said for this matchup. No one had a standout game offensively for the Rebels, but they got scores from WR Steve Jenkins and WR Tyleek Collins.
The victory makes it two in a row for the Wolf Pack and bumps their record up to 2-0. This is the second loss in a row for UNLV and nudges their record down to 0-2.
Nevada will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against the New Mexico Lobos at 2 p.m. ET in two weeks at Dreamstyle Stadium. UNLV will be hunkering down at home again for their contest against the Fresno State Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. ET Nov. 7 at Allegiant Stadium.
