UNLV vs. San Jose State: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Thursday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the UNLV vs. San Jose State football game
Game Recap
The UNLV Rebels weren't able to make up for their loss to the San Jose State Spartans from their previous meeting last November. The Rebels fell to SJSU 27-20.
SJSU QB Nick Nash was slinging it as he accumulated 208 passing yards in addition to rushing for one TD and 121 yards. RB Tyler Nevens also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
The Spartans' defense was a presence as well, as it got past UNLV's offensive line to sack QB Cameron Friel five times for a total loss of 27 yards. Leading the way was DL Viliami Fehoko and his two sacks. Fehoko now has five sacks through eight games.
No one had a standout game offensively for UNLV, but they got scores from RB Charles Williams and WR Steve Jenkins.
UNLV's defeat pushed them down to 0-7. The win got SJSU back to even at 4-4.
The Rebels will square off against the Nevada Wolf Pack at 10 p.m. ET next week at Clarence Mackay Stadium. As for the Spartans, they will go up against the Wyoming Cowboys at 4 p.m. ET next week at CEFCU Stadium.
