USC vs. San Jose State: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the USC vs. San Jose State football game
The USC Trojans will face off against the San Jose State Spartans at 5 p.m. ET next Saturday at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. USC finished last year at 5-1 and will now try to light the spark for another quality season. SJSU was 7-1 last season and is coming off of a 45-14 win against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Saturday.
Two last-season defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Trojans were fifth best in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, finishing the 2020 season giving up only four. As for SJSU, they ranked 19th in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, closing the year allowing only eight overall (top 15%).
USC has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency. A victory is hardly a sure thing, especially this early in the season, so expect a good game.
