What to Know
The North Dakota Fighting Hawks are staying on the road Friday to face off against the Utah State Aggies at 9 p.m. ET Sept. 10 at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium.
The Fighting Hawks entered their contest last week as the heavy favorite, and they fully lived up to expectations. They took their matchup against the Idaho State Bengals by a conclusive 35-14 score. The score was close at the half, but North Dakota pulled away in the second half with 25 points.
Meanwhile, Utah State came out on top in a nail-biter against the Washington State Cougars last week, sneaking past 26-23. The Aggies relied on the efforts of RB Calvin Tyler Jr., who punched in one rushing touchdown, and WR Deven Thompkins, who caught eight passes for one TD and 94 yards. One of those touchdowns came with 0:15 left to play to put Utah State in the lead for good.
Special teams collected ten points for Utah State. K Connor Coles delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
