Utah State vs. Colorado State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday

The Colorado State Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Utah State Aggies at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium. Theydoes have the home-field advantage, but they are expected to win by two points.

Last Saturday, Colorado State made easy work of Utah Tech and carried off a 41-20 victory.

Colorado State's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tory Horton, who picked up 227 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, who threw for 462 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. Colorado State also got help from Dallin Holker who showed off his sure hands for 94 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Utah State gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They pulled ahead with a 34-33 photo finish over UConn. The win was all the more spectacular given Utah State was down 17 points in the second quarter.

Utah State can attribute much of their success to Cooper Legas, who threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and Jalen Royals, who picked up 185 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 185 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Royals.

Their wins bumped Colorado State to 2-2 and Utah State to 2-3.

Colorado State came up short against Utah State in their prior recent meeting last October, falling 17-13. Can Colorado State avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
