UTSA vs. Louisiana Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the UTSA vs. Louisiana football game
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns watched the action from their couches last weekend, but are set to take to the field. They and the UTSA Roadrunners will compete for holiday cheer in the First Responder Bowl on Saturday at Gerald J. Ford Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Louisiana has to be feeling especially confident now that the spread is in their favor.
It was a close one, but three weeks ago the Ragin' Cajuns sidestepped the Appalachian State Mountaineers for a 24-21 win. RB Trey Ragas was the offensive standout of the contest for Louisiana, punching in two rushing touchdowns in addition to snatching one receiving TD.
A well-balanced attack led the Roadrunners over the North Texas Mean Green every single quarter on their way to victory four weeks ago. UTSA made easy work of North Texas and carried off a 49-17 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7. RB Sincere McCormick went supernova for UTSA as he rushed for two TDs and 251 yards on 23 carries. McCormick put himself on the highlight reel with a 65-yard TD scramble in the second quarter.
This next game looks promising for the Ragin' Cajuns, who are favored by a full 14 points. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a three-game streak of ATS wins.
A couple offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Louisiana enters the matchup with 23 rushing touchdowns, good for 17th best in the nation. The Roadrunners are completely their equal: they also come into the game with 23 rushing touchdowns.
