Virginia vs. NC State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Friday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Virginia vs. NC State football game
NC State has enjoyed a two-game homestead but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Virginia Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday at David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium. NC State will be strutting in after a win while Virginia will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Last Saturday, NC State really took it to VMI for a full 4 quarters, racking up a 45-7 victory at home. The success represented a nice turnaround for NC State who in their last game suffered a tough 45-24 defeat.
QB Brennan Armstrong looked spectacular while leading his team to the win, throwing for 264 yards and one touchdown. RB Delbert Mimms III was in the mix too, providing NC State with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Virginia might have drawn first blood against Maryland on Friday, but it was Maryland who got the last laugh. Virginia was dealt a punishing 42-14 loss at the hands of Maryland. The matchup was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Virginia couldn't answer the 28 points Maryland scored afterwards.
Looking ahead, NC State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 9.5 points.
