Washington State vs. Arizona: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Washington State vs. Arizona football game
Game Recap
The Washington State Cougars were the big favorite in their most recent matchup, and for good reason. They blew past the Arizona Wildcats 44-18 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for the Cougars, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Washington State's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 21 first-half points. Arizona wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 21-7 heading into the break. The offense for Washington State continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 23 points to put the game away.
RB Max Borghi had a stellar game for Washington State as he rushed for two TDs and 139 yards on 16 carries. This was the first time Borghi has racked up 100+ rushing yards all year. QB Jayden de Laura had a good game, too, finishing with four touchdowns.
No one had a standout game offensively for Arizona, but they got scores from RB Michael Wiley and WR Boobie Curry.
The victory bumped the Cougars' record up to 6-5. The Wildcats' defeat pushed them down to 1-10.
Washington State will square off against the Washington Huskies at 8 p.m. ET next Friday at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. Arizona will hit the road for the second straight week as they head to Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field at 3 p.m. ET next week.
