Stanford wide receiver Elic Ayomanor hauled in one of the most impressive catches of the 2024 season with a one-handed touchdown grab on Friday. The play came early in the first quarter when Stanford quarterback Ashton Daniels rolled right and threw a 17-yard touchdown strike to his star wide receiver to take a 7-0 lead.
The touchdown reception was Ayomanor's second catch of the game, as he hauled in a 10-yard pass on Stanford's first offensive play from scrimmage minutes prior.
Ayomanor is considered one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft and is coming off a season in which he caught 62 passes for 1,013 yards and six touchdowns. His breakout performance came against Colorado came against Colorado last year, when he caught 13 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns in a dramatic comeback victory.
Ayomanor is off to a hot start to the 2024 campaign. He caught seven passes for 102 yards against TCU in Week 1 for his fourth career game with at least 100 receiving yards.
Stanford is playing in its first conference game as a member of the ACC after moving from on from the Pac-12 officially earlier this summer.
