West Virginia vs. Baylor: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the West Virginia vs. Baylor football game
Game Recap
It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but the West Virginia Mountaineers ultimately got the result they were hoping for Saturday with a 27-21 victory over the Baylor Bears. Baylor can consider this payback for the 17-14 loss they dealt the Mountaineers the last time the teams encountered one another last October.
Among those leading the charge for West Virginia was RB Leddie Brown, who punched in two rushing touchdowns.
No one had a standout game offensively for the Bears, but they got scores from WR R.J. Sneed, WR Josh Fleeks, and TE Ben Sims.
The win got West Virginia back to even at 1-1. Baylor's overall record fell to 1-0.
West Virginia will be hunkering down at home again for their game against the Kansas Jayhawks at noon ET Oct. 17 at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. Unlike the Mountaineers, Kansas will be limping in after taking a loss. The Bears will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 1 p.m. ET in two weeks at McLane Stadium.
