Western Kentucky vs. FIU Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Western Kentucky vs. FIU football game
The FIU Panthers fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Saturday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at 3:30 p.m. ET at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium after a week off. The Panthers have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with WKU and are hoping to record their first win since Oct. 27 of 2018.
FIU has to be aching after a bruising 41-12 loss to the Texas State Bobcats two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, WKU fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Indiana Hoosiers last week but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 33-30. The defeat was just more heartbreak for WKU, who has now lost three close ones in a row against IU. The losing side was boosted by QB Austin Reed, who passed for two TDs and 339 yards on 44 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown.
Special teams collected 12 points for the Hilltoppers. K Brayden Narveson delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
